So many words!

The other day as Abigail caught herself from falling off of a chair (something which she's been doing with some regularity) she said,"I be not fall." Meaning, "I'm not falling," or something like that.

Isa speaks!

This morning at breakfast, Abigail was eating her cereal and I was holding Isa in my lap. Isa was "talking" with her grunts and coos as usual. Abigail then looked up at me and reported, "Isa say um-brell-a!" So Abigail declared Isa's first word as umbrella :)

Banana bread

A couple of days ago, Abigail and I made some mini-loaves of banana bread. Yesterday while I was talking on the phone, Abigail kept asking me for a piece. As she has already had some, i kept saying, "no." Later, after I got off of the phone I went to grab a bite, and it was all gone. I asked Abigail where it was, and she replied, "I lost it in my mouth." All gone!

Because we're not right next door, it's harder for most of you to get to know our kids. But we want you to know them and to be a part of their lives as much as possible. I was thinking about this the other day and decided to start a sort of diary for my children. That way their grandparents, aunts, uncles and other VIP's can get a glimpse into their toddler and baby-hood. I hope you enjoy it!

Whenever anybody asks Abigail a question these days, she usually doesn't know the answer. For example, if I say, "Abigail, you have a boo-boo on your hand. How did that happen?" She'll almost always respond,"I don't know either!" It's never just plain and simple, "I don't know." It's always, "I don't know either!"

Whenever she wants to sit on my lap with Isa, Abigail asks to, "sit the lap my girls." Translation: "I want to sit on your lap with Isa." So we do and I always say how much fun it is to sit with "my girls".

Isa has gotten so smilely lately. If she's laying on a blanket and sees any of us coming, she'll break out into a huge grin. If we coo at her she laughs and starts to coo back.

Lately we've been going to and from Terra Nova (the cafe) a lot. Every time we turn down a certain street in the old city, Abigail says,"Go see Daddy cafe!"
She's a big girl now who can drink chamomile tea from a normal cup when we do go to the cafe.

Abigail is also starting to use less diapers as she's getting more interested in the potty! In spite of us being a bit distracted with Isa sometimes, we are seeing progress in this department. I think the promise of a mini M&M every time she goes on the potty helps a bit too!

Besos to all!
