Queen for a day

Last Saturday, Abigail and Isa and I all sat in front of the TV all day watching Prince Felipe, heir to the throne of Spain, marry Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano. We had a blast. None of us had ever watched a royal wedding before, and we loved seeing all of the ladies in their suits and fatastic hats. Abigail's favorite part was after the wedding when Felipe and Letizia rode through the streets of Madrid in a Rolls Royce surrounded by the royal guard all on horseback. All week, she's asked to watch the horses at the wedding.

Abigail has a few items that she uses to play dress up. The other day she was wearing her little plastic crown, and she went to show Matt. "Are you a princess?" he asked her. "No, I'm a queen," she replied matter-of-factly.

Sometimes it's hard to keep a straight face around her.

Isa's news

Isa is now three months old, and almost ready to roll over from her back to her tummy. She loves it when Abigail talks to her, and when Matt plays guitar.

According to Abigail, Isa can now say, "Abigail" and "pot-holder" in addition to "umbrella."
